Facilities Specialist - AFSO (Industrial Security)

What you will do

• Manage Facility Clearance lifecycle actions, sponsorship packages, ownership changes, corporate structures, key management personnel updates, and safeguarding requirements.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready facility records in NISS and internal systems such as HALO.
• Prepare, review, execute, and track DD Form 254 documentation with clients and contracting activities.
• Advise clients on document control, access rosters, classified material handling, and physical and administrative security controls.
• Investigate facility-level security vulnerabilities, conduct administrative inquiries, and track incident resolution.
• Coordinate with DCSA, prepare clients for security assessments, and travel to client sites as needed.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• At least two years of experience in administrative support, personnel security, industrial security, facility security, customer service, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Facility Clearance requirements, FOCI mitigation, corporate governance documents, and ownership structures.
• Experience supporting FSOs, AFSOs, or industrial security programs; familiarity with NISS, DISS, NBIS, eApp, and DCSA processes.
• High school diploma or GED, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-volume, detail-intensive compliance actions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Required CDSE/STEPP training must be completed within designated timeframes.

Nice to have

• Current or previous eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
• Experience in analytics, business operations, compliance management, records management, or process improvement.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for reporting, workflow design, SOP creation, onboarding, or operational efficiency.
