Facility Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Manage facility-clearance sponsorship and maintenance in NISS, including SF-328, KMP designations, changed conditions, and FOCI reporting.
• Manage the cleared-personnel lifecycle in DISS/NBIS, including investigations, reinvestigations, continuous vetting, transfers, debriefings, and terminations.
• Guide applicants through eApp and maintain confidential personnel-security records.
• Deliver required security briefings and maintain DD Form 254s and visit authorizations.
• Conduct annual self-inspections, maintain corrective actions, and prepare for DCSA Security Reviews.
• Partner with Legal, Contracts, Workplace, Facilities, IT, People Operations, and Security & Compliance on government security requirements and facility controls.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance are required, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret.
• 7+ years of industrial- or personnel-security experience, including 3+ years as an appointed FSO or Assistant FSO at a cleared contractor.
• Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and the NISPOM.
• Hands-on experience with DISS/NBIS, NISS, eApp, FCL processing, SF-328/FOCI, DD Form 254s, self-inspections, and DCSA Security Reviews.
• Completion of the applicable DCSA/CDSE FSO curriculum through STEPP, or the ability to complete it within six months of appointment.
• Ability to work effectively across a distributed, remote-first organization and occasionally perform duties outside standard working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience in a commercial software, SaaS, cloud, or technology company.
• SPēD or NCMS ISP® certification.
• Familiarity with ITPSO responsibilities, FedRAMP, CMMC, DFARS, or CUI requirements.
• Familiarity with hirify.global products or observability technologies.
