Workers Compensation, Risk Analyst 3 (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based at 2200 East Walnut, Fullerton, California 92831; regular office attendance is required, currently 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week from home.

Salary: $69,000–$110,500 annually.

What you will do

• Investigate and manage moderately complex workers’ compensation claims, including high-exposure and litigated cases.
• Determine claim validity, benefits, reserves, medical treatment, income replacement, and bill payments under applicable laws and guidelines.
• Manage time-loss claims and pursue early return-to-work opportunities.
• Handle recoveries, including subrogation, Second Injury Fund recoveries, and Social Security and Medicare offsets.
• Prepare statutory state filings and maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and provide strategic direction for litigation and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least two years of workers’ compensation claims-handling experience required.
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, regulations, claims principles, and applicable statutes.
• Strong communication, negotiation, judgment, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage claims across multiple state jurisdictions and maintain ongoing education credits.
• Reliable attendance at the assigned Fullerton worksite is required according to the hybrid schedule.
