Senior Welder - B Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at hirify.global Headquarters. Monday–Thursday, 3:30pm–1:45am, with extended hours and weekends as needed.

Hourly pay range: $30–$50 USD.

What you will do

• Set up and operate welding systems according to established procedures.
• Weld assemblies from work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
• Fabricate fluid systems and sub-assembly components for Rutherford and Archimedes rocket engines.
• Meet product specifications and tight tolerances while following applicable welding standards and codes.
• Perform repetitive assembly, standing, lifting, bending, carrying, and other physical production activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of welding experience with a focus on advanced techniques.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, or construction.
• Proficiency in manual GTAW/TIG, orbital tube welding, laser welding, and lathe welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols, and weld material thicknesses from .011 to .250 inches.
• Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ISO, and D17.1 standards and codes.
• For work in U.S. offices, eligibility under ITAR requirements is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or required government authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience welding Inconel, Monel, 300–400 series stainless steel, exotic alloys, or 3D-printed parts.
• Experience with metal fabrication, assembly, deburring, pencil grinders, welding fit-ups, and grinding support.
• Certified Welder status or certifications in TIG, brazing, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, or Inconel welding.
