Senior Laser Technical Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Collect geometric data with laser trackers and model-based software such as Verisurf.
• Analyze inspection data, generate reports, and provide direction for remaining manufacturing operations.
• Establish and apply reference systems for parts and assemblies, both on and off the part.
• Interpret blueprints at all assembly levels using GD&T.
• Integrate process monitoring into fabrication to locate welding and machining details.
• Support manufacturing of large structures for the Terran R reusable rocket.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience working with laser trackers.
• 8+ years of experience with Verisurf X.
• Experience with micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, CMMs, and laser trackers.
• Strong familiarity with GD&T and mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of manufacturing large structures from concept through completion.
• Ability to visualize 3D space, work with complex geometries, and precisely locate machine details in extreme environments.
