Salary: $22.00–$26.00 per hour

Designs, engineers, and manufactures components and systems for the aerospace and defense sectors, including electrical units, housings, and ruggedized equipment for naval applications.

What you will do

  • Assemble ruggedized mechanical enclosures, sub-assemblies, and system cabinets according to blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Use hand and power tools, measuring devices, press brakes, fastener machines, index machines, forklifts, cranes, and other shop equipment.
  • Install wiring, lights, and hardware assemblies for integrated defense subsystems.
  • Perform visual inspections and maintain compliance with production, quality, safety, and operational procedures.
  • At lead level, train and oversee assemblers, coordinate workflow, and support safety activities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Person status is required.
  • All applicants must be U.S. persons because the role may involve ITAR- or EAR-controlled information.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate level: 1–2 years of related mechanical assembly experience; staff level: 2–4 years of professional mechanical assembly or fabrication experience; lead level: 5+ years of progressive experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints, use measuring devices accurately, and apply basic mathematics involving fractions and decimals.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, computer documentation, and adherence to safety procedures.

Nice to have

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
  • Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
