HRIS Consultant (Workday)

What you will do

• Lead enterprise HR technology implementations from solution evaluation and design through configuration, testing, go-live, and hyper care.
• Architect scalable HR technology solutions across Workday, UKG, Salesforce, and connected platforms, defining system-of-record ownership and data flows.
• Serve as the senior functional subject matter expert for Workday HCM, including Core HCM, business processes, security, data structures, and cross-module dependencies.
• Translate complex business needs into functional requirements, solution designs, configuration specifications, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead testing strategies, release readiness, impact assessments, regression planning, stakeholder testing, and deployment decisions.
• Provide functional direction and mentorship to HRIS analysts while partnering with HR, Payroll, IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
• At least 8 years of progressive HRIS, HR technology, or enterprise HCM experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on Workday HCM experience.
• Experience with Workday configuration, business process design, security, data structures, integrations, data governance, and system-of-record concepts.
• Experience leading a full-cycle Workday implementation or major enterprise deployment through go-live and hyper care.
• Experience leading user acceptance testing, supporting payroll-related technology design, and mentoring HRIS analysts or functional team members.
• Strong communication and consulting skills, with experience translating complex requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of UKG, workforce management, time and attendance, business rules, and HR system integrations.
• Experience supporting unionized environments, healthcare or other highly regulated organizations, and mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
• Workday Pro certification in HCM, Reporting, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Benefits, Performance & Talent, or Learning.
