Senior Software Engineer (React/Python)

Salary: $146,900–$183,600 for Palo Alto-based applicants; $135,100–$168,900 for Irvine-based applicants

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Build backend APIs and services with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug issues across frontend, backend, and deployment environments.
• Improve observability, monitoring, reliability, and engineering development standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Experience building web applications with modern frameworks such as React.
• Understanding of REST APIs, system design, application architecture, and Git-based collaborative development.
• Applications are considered for Palo Alto- or Irvine-based roles in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, or event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, data pipelines, or engineering workflows.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
