Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack (AI)

Location: Remote, United States only. Employees must perform all work physically within the United States; international work is not permitted during scheduled work hours.

Salary: $175,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive high-leverage full-stack projects from concept through delivery and continued iteration.
• Develop new and improve existing user-facing healthcare features.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to establish consistent APIs and frontend integration patterns.
• Lead cross-team application architecture decisions and produce technical specifications and documentation.
• Write unit, integration, end-to-end, and visual regression tests to support frequent releases.
• Work with product owners, AI/ML researchers, physicians, and UX researchers to define, estimate, and deliver features using Agile practices.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional full-stack engineering experience owning features from design through delivery and iteration.
• Professional experience with React, including components, hooks, state management, and performance optimization.
• Python backend experience, preferably with asynchronous frameworks such as FastAPI or Starlette.
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL, plus asynchronous workflows such as background jobs, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
• Experience using testing, end-to-end coverage, visual regression testing, and CI to improve product quality.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Terraform, AI/ML technologies, Git, and RESTful services. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• React Native, Expo, or other cross-platform mobile development experience.
• Storybook, snapshot regression testing, harness engineering, or experience building design systems and component libraries.
• Accessibility experience with WCAG and screen readers.
• LLM application experience, including streaming, tool calling, and evaluation-driven iteration.
• Experience with Temporal or other durable execution systems, or healthcare data standards such as CDA, CCD, or FHIR.
