Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location: New York, New York, based at hirify.global’s New York City headquarters; hybrid

Base salary: $173,478–$213,957 USD per year

What you will do

• Scale the e-commerce platform for the Subscriptions team.
• Design and deliver scalable microservices and performant front-end web experiences.
• Drive technical roadmaps, architectural decisions, design documentation, and cross-team alignment.
• Set standards for code quality, testability, and system performance.
• Lead pair programming, whiteboard sessions, task breakdowns, and constructive code reviews.
• Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, International, and business stakeholders to evaluate technical trade-offs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript; React preferred and Vue also relevant.
• Experience with server-side languages such as Python or Kotlin and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years designing and scaling reliable modern systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Agile, Lean, DevOps, and SRE principles.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce, subscriptions, payment processing, cloud infrastructure, or microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with TDD, DDD, Event Sourcing, or internationalization.
• Open-source contributions, meetups, or conference participation.
