TL;DR
CT Technologist - Grayslake Imaging Casual Rotating Shift (Computed Tomography): Performing diagnostic CT imaging and patient care at an outpatient center and freestanding emergency room with an accent on image quality, contrast administration, radiation safety, and patient monitoring. Focus on operating CT equipment, completing protocols and reconstructions, maintaining PACS transfers and quality logs, and supporting interventional procedures.
Location: 1475 E. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Grayslake Outpatient Center and Freestanding ER. Part-time casual/as-needed position with rotating shifts and holiday rotation.
Salary: USD 38.06–51.38 per hour

What you will do
- Perform CT examinations, verify orders and protocols, position and immobilize patients, and select appropriate technical parameters using ALARA principles.
- Screen patients, establish IV access, administer oral or IV contrast, monitor patients, and provide post-exam instructions.
- Review images, complete required series and reconstructions, address image-quality issues, and transfer studies to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
- Operate CT equipment, perform equipment quality assurance, maintain logs, and report equipment performance issues through established service processes.
- Prepare for and assist physicians with CT procedures, including interventional procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records, exam documentation, charging information, work-area readiness, supplies, and equipment cleanliness.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) accreditation required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in holiday rotation.
- Knowledge of patient safety, radiation safety, infection prevention, contrast administration, and diagnostic imaging standards.
Nice to have
- One year of experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
