CT Tech Trainee (CT)

Location: Six-month training at Lowell General Hospital, followed by work at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, United States. Onsite role with day training and evening or overnight shifts after certification.

Salary: $37.18–$47.41 per hour; starting rate of $43.00+ per hour. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

What you will do

• Perform CT scans under the supervision of a certified CT Technologist.
• Verify patients, procedures, imaging protocols, scanner parameters, and required safety steps.
• Provide patient instructions, ensure patient and staff safety, and administer IV contrast after confirming IV access.
• Perform equipment and device quality control and maintain clean, functional work areas.
• Coordinate patient care with other staff, departments, and service lines.
• Complete academic and clinical requirements to obtain CT Technologist certification within two years.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
• Radiologic Technologist certification from ARRT.
• Currently pursuing CT certification through ARRT or NMTCB.
• Eligible for a radiologic technologist state license.
• Knowledge of radiologic equipment, examinations, procedures, and radiation safety protocols.
• Ability to stand frequently, walk, lift 30–35 pounds, operate radiology equipment, and work around bodily fluids and communicable diseases.

Nice to have
