Commercial Lines New Business Marketing Specialist (Commercial Insurance)

What you will do

• Work with sales associates to understand prospective clients’ commercial lines insurance needs.
• Develop carrier submissions, obtain quotes, and respond to underwriters’ inquiries.
• Negotiate coverage terms with carriers and prepare proposal presentations.
• Bind coverage and complete the client marketing and onboarding process.
• Build relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
• Provide technical expertise on market trends, pricing practices, underwriting policies, legislation, and new insurance products.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a commercial property and casualty insurance agency.
• Active state Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• Ability to manage complex tasks, prioritize workflow, and work accurately with minimal instruction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships.
• Working knowledge of internet-based programs and Microsoft Office; Sagitta and ImageRight knowledge is preferred.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• Insurance industry designations such as ARM, CIC, or CPCU.
• Experience with Sagitta or ImageRight.
