Agency Managing Director (Commercial P&C)

Location: Remote within Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, or Oklahoma; listed office location is St. Louis, Missouri. Travel of up to 40% is required.

What you will do

• Oversee agency financial performance, profitability, growth trends, submission activity, and commission structures.
• Build and execute agency business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
• Develop, activate, and maintain agency relationships while creating a pipeline of new opportunities.
• Serve as the primary agency contact, advocate for agency needs, and resolve critical issues across internal functions.
• Influence account-level underwriting decisions through high-level premium authority while maintaining customer service standards.
• Gather market intelligence and use it to inform strategic decisions for hirify.global and its agency partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of market-facing experience; underwriting experience is preferred.
• At least 3 years of direct business relationships with agency ownership or leadership is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and risks, align efforts with strategic goals, and influence others.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, relationship-building, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
