Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

Salary: CAD 110,000–150,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components for hirify.global robots, including frames, actuators, joints, linkages, and mechanisms.
• Create CAD designs and detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and GD&T based on ASME Y14.5.
• Select materials and manufacturing methods that balance strength, weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Lead prototyping with 3D printing and CNC machining, and perform mechanical testing to validate performance and durability.
• Integrate mechanical components with electrical systems and software in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and apply safety features to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.

Requirements

• Strong background in mechanical design, statics, dynamics, and materials science.
• Experience with SolidWorks and applying GD&T according to ASME Y14.5.
• Familiarity with CNC machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
• Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes.
• Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 10218 and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
