Mining Project Manager

What you will do

• Own mining and industrial construction projects from contract handoff through completion, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships.
• Manage change conditions, change orders, contractual notices, scope authorization, and commercial exposure.
• Prepare cost forecasts, estimates at completion, accruals, progress billings, and project financial updates.
• Develop and maintain the schedule of record, integrate look-ahead planning, and lead recovery plans and time-impact analyses.
• Manage procurement, long-lead items, purchase orders, subcontracts, subcontractor relationships, and pay applications.
• Lead project meetings and staff direction while supporting field execution, safety planning, training, permits, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of construction experience, including at least 3 years managing projects; mining, industrial, or heavy civil experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ownership of project P&L, including recovery of a project that experienced significant difficulties.
• Working knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost forecasting, earned value, and change management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent field experience; PMP certification is preferred.
• MSHA Part 46/48 training, a valid 5000-23 certificate, OSHA 30, and first aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to interpret civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and specifications; valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record are required where driving is necessary.
