Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Charleston, WV; this position is based in Point Pleasant, WV and involves on-site construction activities.

General contractor delivering heavy civil and industrial construction services for private and public-sector clients, including highways, bridges, utilities, water and wastewater facilities, marine projects, data centers, and power plants.

What you will do

• Plan, direct, and coordinate industrial construction projects, typically one large project or several smaller projects.
• Manage Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and construction personnel across project phases.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, subcontractors, project staff, and field teams.
• Establish project plans, staffing, schedules, procedures, performance standards, and resource requirements.
• Analyze CPM-based schedules, monitor progress, and control project safety, timelines, budgets, and contract profitability.
• Lead progress, coordination, schedule, and safety meetings while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of experience or knowledge in construction, design, finance, and management.
• Ability to understand and interpret safety laws, company policies, and industry standards.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to apply effective management techniques and supervise hiring, training, work assignments, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer credentialing is strongly preferred but not required.
