Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Rotational Program (Mining)

What you will do

• Complete four project modules over a two-year engineering residency across product engineering, manufacturing operations, sales and service, and international product support.
• Develop, maintain, and support mining components, products, and services while improving engineering processes.
• Conduct engineering investigations, calculations, evaluations, and tests with defined requirements and outcomes.
• Develop solutions for engineering problems, field issues, product safety, design standards, and corrective actions.
• Support change management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication of engineering issues.
• Travel to mines to observe machines in operation and understand application parameters.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline.
• Up to three years of experience in engineering design, machine application, or the mining industry is desired.
• Experience with computer-aided design tools is desired.
• Experience with Lean Engineering, change management, cross-functional teams, or project management is advantageous.
• Professional registration or membership in technical societies is beneficial.
