Engineering Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The role description also identifies the site as Burnet, Texas.

Salary: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Run purification systems under defined quality and engineering controls.
• Decontaminate manufacturing equipment and perform lab maintenance, preventive maintenance, supply ordering, cleanup, and waste disposal.
• Pull chemistry samples, submit them for laboratory analysis, and fill canisters with chemical products.
• Inspect, package, and release finished products while supporting on-time delivery from production through shipment.
• Work with engineers on experiments, troubleshooting, preventive-maintenance updates, and spare-parts management.
• Propose and implement improvements to productivity, cost, safety, and processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical field such as chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, or related manufacturing.
• Previous chemical-handling experience and the ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of sublimation, decontamination, valve building, harvesting, filling, and morph solids.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, push up to 130 lb, manage multiple tasks, and respond quickly to changing situations.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Inventory-management knowledge and SAP experience.
• Training experience and strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
