Associate Manager, New Verticals - Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Washington, DC; Tempe, AZ; or Mountain View, CA. In-person collaboration is expected a few days per month.

Salary: $105,400–$155,000 USD base salary annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end merchant and customer experience for a high-growth mid-market or local grocery segment.
• Develop marketplace strategies serving merchants, consumers, and dashers.
• Own tracking dashboards and manage weekly operating metrics.
• Build spreadsheet and SQL models to evaluate programs, experiments, and strategic decisions.
• Turn strategies into operational experiments, product features, prototypes, and new tooling.
• Partner with growth, quality, finance, product, engineering, analytics, and sales teams to launch initiatives.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in analytical, cross-functional environments such as technology, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related fields.
• Ability to work independently with SQL, spreadsheets, dashboards, and complex business analyses.
• Experience translating high-level goals into actionable plans and implementing operational processes.
• Entrepreneurial ownership, strong problem-solving skills, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
• Completed bachelor’s degree in a quantitatively oriented or critical-thinking discipline.
• Active interest in using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini to automate workflows, accelerate analysis, and build prototypes.
