Product Manager, Website (AI)

Location: Fully remote; contracts available in many countries with at least three hours of overlap with Pacific Time (UTC–8)

Annual salary: $115,000–$185,000 USD, adjusted by location and experience; local-currency contracts and payments are usually available.

hirify.global is a research institute investigating trends in machine learning and the economic consequences of AI through public research, data products, and knowledge platforms.

What you will do

• Define goals, specifications, audiences, content structure, and priorities for new website pages and features.
• Own cross-site product standards, including layouts, filters, charts, terminology, homepage structure, topic pages, and navigation.
• Run projects from initial goal and specification through design, development, review, launch, and delivery decisions.
• Coordinate closely with researchers, product designers, web developers, and the communications team.
• Use analytics, feedback forms, and user-panel interviews to decide what to build and what to remove.
• Perform detailed pre-launch QA to identify broken components, inconsistent labels, and non-working interactions.

Requirements

• Strong product judgment and the ability to explain decisions about clarity, usability, scope, and prioritization.
• Clear writing for briefs, decision notes, and communication with researchers and other stakeholders.
• Comfort interpreting data, charts, and research, and learning new research areas quickly.
• Experience shipping web products with designers and developers.
• Strong organization, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Professional English proficiency and availability for at least three hours of overlap with Pacific Time are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with hirify.global’s research or AI more broadly.
• Previous product management experience in technology, websites, research organizations, or newsrooms.
• Enough front-end knowledge to discuss implementation complexity with developers.
• Comfort using AI coding tools such as Claude.
