Supply Chain Lead

Location: Rockville, Maryland / Remote within the continental United States (CONUS). Travel up to 10%. A Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Background Investigation and ability to obtain a VA PIV credential are required.

Salary: $89,000–$102,000 annually, with possible additional compensation such as bonuses.

What you will do

• Act as the primary supply chain, logistics, and acquisition subject matter expert and liaison for VA stakeholders, VHA leadership, and Agile delivery teams.
• Translate healthcare supply chain processes into requirements, business rules, user stories, workflows, and metrics such as fill rates and inventory turns.
• Own data standards and item master initiatives, including data cleansing, standardization, and legacy-to-modern data mapping using GS1, GTIN, and UDI.
• Support enterprise modernization, multi-site implementations, workflow transitions, integrations, go-live hypercare, and system readiness assessments.
• Define and validate AI/ML analytics use cases, including predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, dashboards, and operational alerts.
• Develop supply chain playbooks, support proposals and business growth, mentor delivery teams, lead hiring interviews, and contribute to CMMI and ISO quality audits.

Requirements

• 10+ years of healthcare supply chain and logistics experience, including at least 5 years supporting frontline operations within the VHA or another large health system.
• Hands-on experience with VA and healthcare supply chain systems such as IFCAP, Maximo, Nuvolo, DMLSS, Omnicell, and Pyxis.
• Experience translating complex supply chain processes into IT requirements, business rules, and Agile/SAFe user stories.
• Strong data governance, enterprise item master, system implementation, legacy migration, and integration experience, including Oracle Health EHR and iFAMS.
• Understanding of VHA directives, standard operating procedures, GAO/OIG audit findings, supply chain analytics, and decision intelligence.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, healthcare administration, industrial engineering, or a related field; CPIM, CSCP, and SAFe certifications are required qualifications listed for the role.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Frontline leadership experience as a VHA Chief Supply Chain Officer, Biomedical Engineer, or Inventory Manager.
