Logistics Manager (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid role based in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Oversee inbound, outbound, intercompany, domestic, and international freight operations.
• Manage carriers, freight forwarders, and the 4PL partner Uber Freight to improve shipment visibility, service performance, capacity coordination, and issue resolution.
• Develop logistics strategies that balance landed cost, lead times, capacity, and customer service requirements.
• Monitor freight costs, carrier performance, on-time delivery, claims, service issues, and operational productivity through logistics KPIs.
• Lead logistics projects, process changes, standard operating procedure development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with distribution, customer service, procurement, planning, operations, and external partners to resolve transportation issues and align priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Experience managing logistics operations, transportation execution, carrier performance, and freight-related issue resolution.
• Extensive knowledge of international and domestic logistics, transportation operations, carrier management, and freight cost drivers.
• Experience leading logistics process improvements, system changes, or cross-functional transportation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders without relying on direct reporting authority.
