Field Services Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Field-based role supporting operations across the Middle East, with travel to customer sites for up to 75% of the time. The requirements also state that candidates should be based in Arizona, Florida, Texas, or Wyoming.

What you will do

• Scope construction and mining equipment and install hirify.global hardware and software, including sensor systems, drive-by-wire kits, power integration, and vehicle interfaces.
• Install peripheral infrastructure such as network stations, gate systems, and office equipment at customer sites.
• Perform system calibrations, validation tests, preventive maintenance, and equipment condition monitoring.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, connectivity, vehicle-system, and sensor-integration issues using diagnostic tools and logs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on deployments, research and development projects, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Train customer personnel, communicate during on-site visits, and document service activities in ticketing and CRM systems.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in field service, automotive electronics, mechatronics, or a similar technical support role.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing tools.
• Understanding of vehicle power systems, CAN bus, sensors, and ECUs, with the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to work independently in field environments and travel to customer sites up to 75% of the time.
• Based in Arizona, Florida, Texas, or Wyoming; comfortable working in a highly mobile, outdoor environment and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicle systems, heavy equipment, machine control, robotics, or complex sensor integrations.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and remote diagnostics.
• OSHA 10 or an equivalent safety certification.
