Chief of Staff to the CEO (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, TX, United States; regular travel to manufacturing facilities, field locations, customer sites, Board meetings, investor meetings, and industry events is required, including frequent domestic and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO, translating priorities into objectives, action plans, owners, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead and coordinate high-priority initiatives across multiple functions and business units.
• Establish the operating cadence for the CEO and executive leadership team, including operating reviews, planning sessions, and leadership meetings.
• Coordinate public-company-readiness workstreams covering governance, internal controls, reporting, risk management, and organizational readiness.
• Prepare Board, investor, executive, and stakeholder materials and support related meetings and follow-up.
• Travel with the CEO, represent the CEO when appropriate, and identify operational and organizational challenges across facilities and field operations.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or a comparable leadership role.
• Experience supporting a CEO, executive leadership team, Board of Directors, or similarly senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple business units and senior leaders.
• Strong financial and operational acumen, executive-level communication skills, and experience developing Board- or investor-level materials.
• Ability to operate in corporate, manufacturing, and field environments and travel regularly with the CEO, sometimes on short notice.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience in energy, power generation, oil and gas, industrial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, or another operationally complex and asset-intensive business.
• Experience in a high-growth, private-equity-backed, acquisitive, pre-IPO, or public-company environment.
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
