GA Senior Manufacturing Execution Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States; onsite with full-time reporting to the assigned location. The role requires frequent domestic and international travel, generally 50% or more and up to 75%, including travel during product launches. What you will do

• Lead manufacturing engineering activities for General Assembly and Final Assembly zones supporting new vehicle launches, model changes, and production operations.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, automation systems, equipment, tooling, conveyors, and workstation designs.
• Manage equipment and tooling projects from concept and procurement through installation, validation, commissioning, and production launch.
• Coordinate with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, suppliers, and integrators to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Support build events, launch activities, process validation, PFMEA development, and manufacturing readiness.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, ergonomics, material flow, and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing or engineering experience, including 3 years of launch experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, process engineering, and vehicle or global launch processes.
• Ability to manage complex projects independently, provide technical leadership, coach direct reports, and solve problems effectively.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, changing hours, and changing environments as required by project and plant schedules.
• Must be able to work onsite in Arlington, Texas, travel extensively, and work in the United States without requiring GM immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with General Assembly, Final Assembly, or other automotive manufacturing operations.
• Experience with automation, robotics, conveyors, fastening systems, PLCs, or industrial controls.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Red X, continuous improvement, PFMEA, process validation, or manufacturing risk assessment.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturing layouts.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety standards.
