Production Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States; production-floor presence required

What you will do

• Monitor and improve production flow, yield, uptime, equipment performance, and process capability.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives and prioritize production-line projects using business and technical analysis.
• Identify and implement improvements that reduce variation caused by equipment or product design.
• Resolve quality issues, line rejects, and RMA concerns while representing production in cross-functional work with production leaders, engineers, and team members.
• Own technical responses to 8D and RMA concerns, and develop control methods to maintain and improve process capability.
• Develop and mentor production support engineers, and assist with control plans, FMEAs, process flow charts, and assembly drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or related field.
• At least one year of manufacturing experience.
• Analytical ability to understand and solve technical issues in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to learn the organization, collaborate across departments, and work directly on the production floor.
• Flexibility to adjust the work schedule to production and business needs, including occasional vendor and customer travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States is verified through E-Verify.

• Experience with SolidWorks, PLCs, and manufacturing software platforms.
