CNC Programmer (Mastercam)

Location: Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time day shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; onsite work in the precision machine shop.

Salary: $35–$50 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes to manufacture parts to tight tolerances.
• Create, simulate, validate, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections and final checks using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other precision tools.
• Select tools, fixtures, and materials; adjust machine performance and troubleshoot tooling or equipment issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on machining strategies while maintaining safe, clean workspaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of CNC machining and Mastercam programming experience.
• Experience with Haas CNC equipment, including VF and ST series machines.
• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, feeds, speeds, tooling, and GD&T.
• Ability to read blueprints, work with tight tolerances, and machine aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and plastics.
• Ability to work independently, lift up to 50 pounds, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
