CNC Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States; onsite machining role.

Base pay: $35–$50 per hour, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3-axis, 4th-axis rotary, and 5-axis CNC routers.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, and GD&T requirements to develop efficient machining strategies.
• Prepare fixtures, soft jaws, vices, tooling, offsets, first-article parts, setup sheets, and tool lists.
• Cut, deburr, grind, and finish parts while working with composite and tooling-board materials.
• Maintain program and print mark-up records and optimize tooling, speeds, feeds, and tool life.
• Keep the machine shop and work areas clean and organized.

Requirements

• Above-average knowledge of 3-axis CNC milling and exposure to 5-axis machining.
• Experience with feeds, speeds, and tooling for different material types.
• Experience machining carbon fiber composites, fiberglass composites, and tooling board.
• Ability to troubleshoot at the machine and G-Code program levels.
• Ability to work effectively on a small team and take ownership from program handoff through finished part.

Nice to have

• Expertise in setup fixturing and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines.
• Strong background in complex surfacing, contours, and aerospace applications.
