Machinist 2nd Shift (CNC)

Location: Delavan, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.

Hourly pay: $28–$30 per hour, plus an 8% second-shift differential. Overtime is available.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for production castings.
• Prepare tooling, work holding, fixturing, and loading programs.
• Use precision gauges, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge blocks, to verify dimensions.
• Read blueprints, apply GD&T, and make offsets or minor edits to maintain part tolerances.
• Operate manual machines, hoists, hand tools, power tools, air tools, and a fractometer.
• Perform machining operations including facing, turning, boring, chamfering, grooving, threading, drilling, tapping, and deburring.

Requirements

• Three or more years of CNC mill and lathe setup and operation experience preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and shop mathematics.
• Ability to multitask and keep production running smoothly.
• Ability to stand, walk, twist at the waist, and lift or lower weights up to 50 pounds.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude are accepted in place of extensive experience.
