Location: On-site at the Walpole, Massachusetts facility, United States. Available on 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). U.S. citizenship is required, and the position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Salary: $31.61–$47.42 per hour. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments and must be repaid if employment ends before two years.

What you will do
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and 4-axis and 5-axis machining centers.
- Produce complex components such as hubs and CPP propellers from engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
- Select tooling, adjust offsets, verify machine parameters, and perform secondary operations such as deburring, polishing, and grinding.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Complete production, quality, and maintenance documentation while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, supervisors, and machinists to troubleshoot production issues and ensure defense-grade specifications are met.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of machinist experience, including CNC equipment setup and operation.
- Knowledge of G-code, M-code, shop mathematics, and basic arithmetic, geometric, and algebraic calculations.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements.
- Ability to use precision inspection tools, wear required PPE, stand for extended periods, perform physical production activities, and lift up to 55 lbs.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
- CNC machining certification or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis machining, Fanuc or Siemens controls, lean manufacturing, 5S, or TPM.
- Background in defense, aerospace, marine, or other precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience machining large, complex, tight-tolerance components and troubleshooting production issues.
