Associate Director, Project Delivery AMER (Biologics Manufacturing): Lead complex capital investment projects for biologics manufacturing from concept through startup, commissioning, qualification, and handover to operations with an accent on technical project management, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional delivery. Focus on designing compliant facilities, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating engineering and construction workstreams, and solving safety, quality, and execution risks.

Location: Vacaville, California, USA; fully site-based

Base annual salary: $159,750–$266,250, plus performance-related bonus.

What you will do

  • Plan, manage, and execute capital investment projects through engineering, design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and operational handover.
  • Act as Technical Project Manager for biologics processing projects and provide leadership across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Coordinate operations, engineering, procurement, EHS, project controls, contractors, vendors, design firms, and end users.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and mitigation plans to deliver safe, compliant, cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure design intent and cross-functional design-document reviews are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership while supporting project-team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline.
  • Extensive experience in technical project management and project engineering within process, power, infrastructure, or life-sciences manufacturing.
  • Broad understanding of process, automation, mechanical and piping, civil, and infrastructure systems.
  • Experience managing capital projects, including cost control, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
  • Experience designing and delivering compliant, cost-effective facilities in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of modern commissioning and qualification approaches, with strong leadership, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
