Project Manager - Capital Projects (Pharma/Biotech)

Location: Onsite in Boston, Massachusetts

Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead capital projects across full lifecycle from initiation through closeout
• Develop and manage project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resources
• Serve as primary contact for client stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and CQV activities
• Manage project financials, cost tracking, forecasting, and change control
• Drive risk identification, mitigation, and escalation plus status reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 7–15+ years managing capital projects in regulated industry
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, stage-gate, EPCM), GMP, regulatory compliance, construction, and commissioning
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale facility expansions or greenfield projects
• Background in process equipment, utilities, or cleanroom environments
• Familiarity with project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
• PMP certification or equivalent
• Previous client-side or embedded OTS/staff augmentation role
