Alliance Manager II (Biotechnology)

Location: Seattle, WA, USA; hybrid with 1–3 onsite days per week. Remote applicants are not eligible and relocation to Seattle is required.

Salary: USD 94,000–117,000 annually

What you will do

• Act as the day-to-day liaison between the organization and assigned external scientific and strategic partners.
• Coordinate partnership workplans with scientific leads and cross-functional business teams.
• Prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for governance meetings, technical updates, and partner discussions.
• Track obligations, milestones, decision points, risks, and emerging partnership issues.
• Support collaboration agreements, scope changes, data-sharing provisions, reporting requirements, SOWs, and partner presentations.
• Communicate partnership status, changes, and forecasts to senior commercial leadership and the Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific or business field with 5+ years of experience supporting external partnerships in the life sciences, a related PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex scientific or operational information.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional scientific and business teams.
• Must work in the Seattle area and attend onsite work 1–3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in a scientific discipline or an MBA.
• Experience in alliance management, project management, or scientific program management.
• Experience with drug discovery, protein science, genomics, machine learning, biologics, large datasets, or computational biology.
