Application Engineer - Automation (Power Systems)

What you will do

• Develop expertise in power systems, automation, and related SEL products.
• Support customers through site visits, product demonstrations, training courses, and telephone consultations.
• Provide practical and imaginative solutions to increasingly difficult application problems across at least two knowledge areas.
• Contribute to product specifications, application and testing software, technical literature, and application guides.
• Present at sales activities, technical meetings, conferences, and SEL University courses.
• Support engineers, associates, and interns while improving training materials, FAQs, customer feedback processes, and manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• Typically 6+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and the relevant specialization.
• Ability to write and speak English coherently.
• Strong technical training, presentation, writing, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to plan, instruct, lead, learn new skills, and assume new responsibilities.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.
