Technical Project Engineer (Industrial Water Treatment)

Location: Hybrid in North Italy, with regular travel across Italy and approximately 50% travel

Annual gross base salary: €40,400–€59,290

What you will do

• Support industrial water treatment projects from early opportunity assessment through execution and final performance sign-off.
• Conduct or supervise onsite surveys, basic design, system conception, and technical risk assessment while balancing CAPEX and OPEX.
• Define technical specifications, project schedules, execution timelines, staffing needs, and procurement requirements.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Service, suppliers, and subcontractors during project delivery.
• Inspect construction sites, verify equipment installation, and lead installation, start-up, and commissioning activities.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostics for existing OEM contracts and support continuous improvement in Operations and Maintenance contracts.

Requirements

• Degree in Technical Engineering with experience in water process selection, design, and implementation of industrial water treatment systems and chemical injection packages.
• Alternatively, a Mechanical Engineering background with 2–4 years of water treatment experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, electrical components, material compatibility, chemical applications, and control and monitoring instrumentation.
• Awareness of international standards and certifications for equipment construction; digital capabilities for project implementation.
• Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, mainly within Italy.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of experience with electrical and automation systems.
• Experience with food and beverage water treatment applications.
