Director Template Transformation (AI Contracting)

What you will do

• Own the global roadmap, priorities, deliverables, and measurable outcomes for legal template transformation.
• Assess, consolidate, simplify, draft, validate, and obtain approval for contract templates, clauses, fallback positions, playbooks, exhibits, and guidance.
• Establish governance for content ownership, taxonomy, version control, approvals, exceptions, review cycles, releases, and retirement.
• Lead localization, implementation planning, stakeholder alignment, validation, testing, deployment readiness, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Define measures for simplification, cycle time, quality, risk, adoption, partner experience, and realized value.
• Build alignment across Legal, business, contracting, Technology, and enabling functions while leading assigned team members and partners.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor, LL.B., or equivalent law degree.
• At least 10 years of legal or contracting experience, including complex commercial contracting, legal operations, or enterprise transformation leadership.
• Strong legal and enterprise judgment across risk, compliance, business value, operational feasibility, and user experience.
• Demonstrated success leading complex global workstreams, influencing senior leaders, and delivering transformation at scale.
• Experience with executive communication, facilitation, decision framing, program leadership, problem-solving, talent development, and accountability for outcomes.

Nice to have

• Life sciences experience.
• Advanced training or experience in legal operations, contracting, project management, transformation, process improvement, or change management.
• Fluency in automation, analytics, structured data, and responsible AI.
