Director, Legal - Employment

Location: Remote in Ireland or the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Provide senior employment-law advice to stakeholders across the organization while balancing legal risk, business objectives, and company values.
• Manage employment matters across recruiting, onboarding, compensation, performance, leave, employee relations, organizational change, separation, and post-employment issues.
• Negotiate with works councils and employee representative bodies across EMEA and lead consultation processes.
• Represent hirify.global or manage outside counsel in labor courts, employment tribunals, agency investigations, and settlement processes.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain employment agreements, separation agreements, policies, templates, and related documentation across jurisdictions.
• Build scalable employment-law processes, playbooks, systems, and documentation for an all-remote organization.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or local equivalent, with admission to practice in at least one EMEA jurisdiction.
• Substantial experience advising multinational companies on employment matters and negotiating with works councils across EMEA.
• Experience handling or managing counsel in labor courts, employment tribunals, investigations, and analogous proceedings.
• Deep knowledge of EMEA employment compliance and GDPR-related privacy requirements.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders, drafting employment documentation, and building scalable legal processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to independently manage complex matters, assess risk, communicate clearly, and work across functions, time zones, and cultures.
