TL;DR

Hardware/Software Integration Architect (CoSIM/MBSE): Lead hardware subsystems integration with vehicle software by owning multi-domain virtual vehicle co-simulation and reference architectures. Focus on establishing central CoSIM capability, integrating CoSIM into systems engineering and virtual validation, and improving correlation between CoSIM and physical testing to reduce HIL/vehicle usage.

Location: Warren, Michigan

Company

General Motors builds vehicles and connected experiences with a focus on safer, smarter, and more connected mobility.

What you will do

  • Establish central CoSIM capability with Software and Services Systems Engineers and GVHE Tech Specialists/ETLs to define reference architectures, model libraries, and methods for GVHE-owned domains.
  • Run focused pilots tightly connected to TFRP, MBSE, and Virtual Validation processes, influencing GVDP PAR/VBOR.
  • Integrate hardware via CoSIM into the systems engineering and virtual validation backbone.
  • Lead strategies balancing system co-simulation concepts, SimBOM, TFRP/VFRP, ETM, and GVDP elements.
  • Ensure CoSIM assets, runs, and metrics reflect hardware performance to eliminate the need for physical demos.
  • Deliver measurable outcomes such as virtualization of test cases, earlier defect detection, reduced HIL/vehicle & bench usage, and credible CoSIM-to-physical test correlation.
