Senior Safety Supervisor (HSE – Life Sciences Construction)

Location: Seattle, 98198, United States; requires a highly visible on-site field presence.

Salary: $141,400–$193,400 per year.

What you will do

• Lead health, safety, and environmental programs for major life sciences and high-tech construction projects.
• Develop project-specific HSE plans, emergency response procedures, and site safety protocols.
• Provide technical guidance, training, toolbox talks, and safety coaching to project teams, contractors, supervisors, and craft personnel.
• Review subcontractor Job Hazard Analyses, safety documentation, and operational readiness assessments.
• Conduct field observations, compliance audits, and multi-trade safety reviews.
• Lead incident notifications, root-cause investigations, injury management, return-to-work activities, and corrective-action programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HSE, occupational safety, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and construction experience.
• 5–10 years of progressive construction industry experience, including HSE support for active construction sites or supervisory construction trade experience with formal safety responsibilities.
• At least one of the following certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction, OSHA 510, CHST, or CSP.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence craft personnel, subcontractors, and project leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting regulated, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical life sciences construction projects.
• Experience leading multi-contractor and multi-trade workforces through influence.
