What you will do

  • Teach 3D Foundations and undergraduate and graduate Sculpture courses on a 9-month tenure-track appointment.
  • Manage sculpture facilities, equipment, supplies, and studio operations.
  • Implement training programs and safety protocols for sculpture studios.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, BFA and MFA reviews, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Mentor graduate assistants, collaborate with adjunct faculty, and support BFA and MFA student recruitment, retention, and success.
  • Maintain an active studio practice and contribute to exhibitions, scholarship, and the creative development of students.

Requirements

  • MFA degree with demonstrated expertise in Sculpture or 3D art.
  • Active professional artistic practice and a strong exhibition record.
  • College- or university-level teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach 3D Foundations and advanced undergraduate and graduate Sculpture courses.
  • Knowledge of current safety and health standards in sculpture studios.
  • Experience working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff and serving a varied student population.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in figurative sculpture, woodworking, fabrication, metal casting, mold-making, soft sculpture, or installation.
  • Experience with digital fabrication technologies, including 3D scanning and 3D printing.
  • Experience mentoring and leading graduate students across disciplines.
  • Knowledge of historical, theoretical, and contemporary developments in Sculpture.
  • Leadership experience in studio-based educational settings.
