Assistant Professor - Criminal Justice

Location: Victoria, Texas, United States; full-time, tenure-track position with required in-person teaching and a strong campus presence.

What you will do

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester of introductory and elective undergraduate Criminal Justice courses in in-person and online formats.
• Conduct research and maintain an active scholarly publication agenda in Criminal Justice.
• Direct undergraduate research and other applied student learning experiences.
• Advise, mentor, and supervise students, including students completing practical experiences.
• Contribute to general education, university committees, student recruitment and retention, and the broader academic life on campus.
• Build connections with community organizations and support career advising.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field by August 2027.
• Commitment to undergraduate education and student mentoring.
• Evidence of an active research agenda and ability to publish in the field of expertise.
• Ability to teach Criminal Justice courses in person and online.
• Ability to maintain a strong campus presence in Victoria, Texas.
