What you will do

• Teach twelve credit hours per semester of introductory and upper-level U.S. history courses.
• Teach in-person and online courses in the area of specialization, including possible Applied History courses.
• Direct undergraduate research and other applied student learning opportunities.
• Conduct research, maintain an active scholarly agenda, and publish in the field of expertise.
• Advise students, support recruitment and retention, and contribute to the general education curriculum and academic life on campus.
• Foster connections with community organizations and maintain a strong campus presence.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in U.S. History or a closely related field by August 2027.
• Commitment to undergraduate education and teaching introductory U.S. history from 1492 to the present.
• Evidence of an active research agenda and ability to publish in the field of expertise.
• Willingness to teach or conduct research in Applied History is preferred.
