What you will do

• Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, blood glucose measurements, and intake and output documentation.
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and other activities of daily living.
• Report abnormal findings and changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms and support communication between patient care units and related departments.
• Answer telephones, intercoms, and call lights while directing information to the appropriate staff, family members, or patients.
• Support unit workflow, admissions, discharges, and daily census validation in coordination with nursing leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician, or completion of one semester of clinical nursing school.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility, organization, multitasking, critical thinking, and effective prioritization in stressful situations.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Assistant program or phlebotomy course.
