Care Technician (Healthcare)

Location: Health center in Clermont, Florida; job location listed as Leesburg, Florida. Onsite, Monday–Thursday 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and current patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Perform CLIA-waived laboratory tests, operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment, and collect specimens.
• Support front-desk administration by scheduling appointments, making follow-up calls, ordering supplies, and assisting patients.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• An associate degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program is preferred.
• Ability to perform rooming, phlebotomy, drug screens, pre-employment exams, laboratory testing, and specimen collection.
