Phlebotomist

Location: Fairfax, Woodbridge, Alexandria, Centreville, Fredericksburg, or Richmond, Virginia, United States. Onsite work in a Patient Service Center or client office, with travel to additional sites when needed.

Salary: $17.75–$26.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for a quarterly performance-based incentive.

What you will do

• Perform blood collections through venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data, process billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Provide customer service to patients and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional work sites when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training from an accredited agency, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a record of exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice to have

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
