What you will do

  • Develop product-specific sourcing strategies aligned with technical requirements, program timing, cost targets, supply resilience, and global commodity strategy.
  • Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, sourcing recommendations, and approved manufacturer list expansion.
  • Own material readiness for NPI programs from early development through ramp and stabilization, including BOM changes, purchase orders, supplier commitments, and launch milestones.
  • Drive clear-to-build readiness, shortage resolution, risk buys, advanced purchasing, recovery plans, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Manage BOM cost tracking, supplier quotations, tooling, NRE, tariffs, logistics, cost gaps, and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional decision-making across Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Operations, Commodity Management, Purchasing, Finance, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, sourcing, materials management, program management, manufacturing operations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading approved manufacturer list development and comprehensive sourcing execution for component categories.
  • Strong supplier negotiation, analytical, cost-reduction, bidding, risk assessment, and mitigation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders without direct authority, communicate leadership-level status updates, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, plus working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, material planning, supplier management, and cost tracking tools.

Nice to have

  • APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, CPSM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or another relevant certification.
  • Experience with contract manufacturing, global suppliers, electronics, mechanical components, raw materials, or finished-goods supply chains.
  • Experience with supplier capacity planning, dual sourcing, alternate component qualification, PPAP, supplier quality, compliance, and product conformity.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, cost trackers, dashboards, or similar supply chain planning and reporting tools.
