Commodity Manager, Electrical & Electronics

Location: Golden Valley, Minnesota, United States of America; onsite role with up to 45% domestic travel and potential international travel.

Annual base pay: $82,300–$152,800, with potential eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Manage strategic supplier relationships through performance reviews, business reviews, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
• Lead RFQs, supplier selection, sourcing recommendations, negotiations, contract development, and implementation.
• Develop category strategies covering savings, supply continuity, supplier development, localization, dual sourcing, value engineering, and consolidation.
• Build productivity pipelines, validate savings with Finance, and manage sourcing project funnels.
• Identify and mitigate supplier, market, and supply-chain risks while supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Support new product development by evaluating suppliers and technologies and executing sourcing from concept through launch.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply-chain experience with domestic and international suppliers; 7+ years preferred.
• At least 3 years of electrical and electronics sourcing experience.
• Experience with RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, sourcing implementation, savings validation, and risk mitigation.
• Strong financial, analytical, communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Manufacturing experience and ERP knowledge required; advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing PCBAs, semiconductors, electronic components, controllers, or electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience with SAP, QAD, or JDE.
• Experience managing productivity pipelines, inflation mitigation, and multi-year sourcing programs.
