Director Operations (Gas Pipelines)

Location: Onsite in Sheridan, Texas, at the Houston Central Plant; relocation assistance may be considered. Additional travel to the Houston headquarters and other meeting locations may be required.

Large energy infrastructure company operating natural gas and natural gas liquids transportation, processing, and storage assets across North America.

What you will do

• Lead the overall performance of the Houston Central Plant, including safety, operations, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and budget stewardship.
• Manage direct reports across operations, maintenance, engineering, and administration.
• Coordinate plant activities with Gas Control, Engineering, Business Development, EH&S, Finance, regulators, customers, and senior management.
• Develop division goals, performance plans, operating reports, employee development programs, and training compliance.
• Oversee emergency response activities and serve as Incident Commander, Qualified Individual, emergency response team leader, or company spokesperson when required.
• Maintain safe and environmentally responsible operations, including response to hazardous product releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required; an engineering degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience and knowledge in gas treating operations, compressor stations, hydraulics, flow control systems, regulatory compliance, contract administration, damage prevention, and emergency response or incident command.
• Understanding of Process Safety Management and demonstrated leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Current valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to speak and understand English required.
• Ability to work at office and plant facilities, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
