Equipment Maintenance Engineer (EV Manufacturing)

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation failures across highly automated battery, general assembly, EDU, and stator/hairpin production lines.
• Maximize equipment uptime and improve maintenance KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans using vibration analysis, thermography, and failure analysis.
• Program and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial networks, drives, servo motors, sensors, HMIs, and safety systems.
• Lead equipment improvement, automation upgrade, safety, and downtime-reduction projects with integrators, OEMs, and suppliers.
• Support production ramp-ups, perform hands-on repairs, document equipment changes, and train maintenance technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, robotics, electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with automated assembly equipment, robotics, end-of-line testing, and servo-driven systems.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, 480VAC systems, 24VDC controls, industrial sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to use CMMS software and interpret technical manuals fluently in English.
• Availability to work extended hours when production demands require it.

Nice to have

• Fanuc, ABB, or KUKA robotics experience.
• Automotive, electric vehicle, electronics, or other high-automation manufacturing experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, predictive maintenance, Siemens, or Rockwell Automation certifications.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 documentation standards.
